Pneumatic Door Systems

Pneumatic door systems provide access into buildings or secure areas by using compressed air to control the door.

The systems are easy to operate and can be installed in libraries, laboratories, and churches. They are also used in areas where hazardous materials are being handled. These doors are intrinsically safe. The compressed air system does not need high voltage or hydraulic fluid to operate and the control panel for the doors can be located up to 100 feet away, which means fewer chances of being exposed to materials that may be hazardous. They can also be designed to vent smoke in case of a fire, bringing fresh air into the building and pushing the toxic smoke out.

There are different kinds of pneumatic doors for different needs.

The air-lock door is fairly popular. These doors have two access points allowing for transfer between a sterile area like a lab and a normal area like an office so there is no cross-contamination.

Other kinds include:

  • Swinging doors
  • Sliding doors
  • Magic mole pivots
  • Magic star pivots

Pneumatic door systems are used in companies around the world in many different places like industrial facilities, airports, hospitals, government buildings, and defense facilities.

The doors offer quiet and safe access to both secure and public locations.
